Going Green

In launching the Fortus Going Green initiative we examined the key elements of our business and wider ecosystem to determine the ways in which we could minimise the negative economic, social and environmental impact of our company activities.

Our Going Green initiative requires balancing the interests of our internal and external stakeholders including staff, suppliers, customers, community and the relevant regulatory bodies.

We are a Climate Positive Workforce

We have started our journey to becoming a low carbon business by partnering with Ecologi. Ecologi is a social enterprise that helps business to become a Climate Positive Workforce. This means that Fortus Group will now:

Repak Member

Fortus are proud members of Repak. Repak Members play their part in reducing packaging waste and improve recycling behaviour in Ireland. Members participate in a range of Repak initiatives designed to improve the sustainability of packaging in Ireland and protecting the environment. Repak Members paid €30m in fees in 2019 to directly fund household recycling bins, bottle banks, recycling centres and commercial waste packaging nationwide.

Fortus deliveries are carried out in our electric van. The major benefit of electric cars is the contribution that they can make towards improving air quality in towns and cities. With no tailpipe, pure electric cars produce no carbon dioxide emissions when driving. This reduces air pollution considerably.
